Head Count Day - Required

On the 3rd Friday in September, all public schools in the State of Wisconsin are required to physically count the number of students in attendance on that particular day.  The funding a school receives is then based upon the number of students “counted”.

While the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has given WCA a waiver from seeing each student in-person on that specific day and physically counting them, we do require that an email or formally documented telephone call takes place. In addition, electronic attendance needs to be taken AND lessons need to checked off.

Please plan to be available on Friday, September 20, 2019 for this important email or call.  Failure to participate may result in your child being withdrawn from WCA.
