Connections Academy provides WCA students an opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and activities. Participating in a club and/or an activity is optional and the student will not receive a grade. Please note that these clubs and activities are not overseen by a WCA staff member.
To sign up for any of the clubs and activities, the Caretaker logs into Connexus® and find the Clubs and Activities Sign-Up Sheet under the student’s blue dataview icon. Once in the Sign-Up Sheet, please click on the link at the top of the page to view the Getting Started with Clubs and Activities presentation. The Caretaker should then scroll down the form and check one of the consent buttons.
If one of the consent buttons is NOT selected and SAVE and FINISH is selected, then all checked club choices will become unchecked and the form must be completed again.
Once a consent button has been clicked, you should check the desired clubs, making sure to click SAVE and FINISH so the placement team will see your choices. Please note that it can take up to five days to place a student in a club.
