May: Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is hard to believe that we have roughly a month left of school.  This school year has been like no other and has brought up many mixed feelings, especially as the school year comes to an end. It is important to recognize these feelings, since we are not able to celebrate the closure of the year as we have in previous school years.  I want you to know that the staff and I are here to continue to support our students. Please reach out if you have any questions.

WCA does have teachers leaving us at the end of the school year.  Mrs. Ostwald-Kowald will be retiring while Mrs. Dikeman, Ms. Langlois, and Mrs. Lopez have chosen other endeavors. Due to the pandemic, we were fortunate to have Mrs. Eastman, Ms. Farris, Mrs. Hare, Mrs. Hraban, Mrs. Jack, Ms. Huben, Mrs. Kramer, Mrs. Kuhnke, Mrs. Loveland, Mrs. Schultz, Mrs. Lauer, Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Zick with WCA for the 2020-21 school year to work with our students. I wish all these teachers the best as they move forward.

If you have not completed your child(ren)’s intent to return, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline is Monday, May 3.  For those of you returning, I can’t wait to start another new year with your family. For those of you picking a different school option, I wish your student the best.

Please note, for any returning families - you can discard any extra white prepaid envelopes you may have. Our account will be changing and those envelopes will not work for the 2021-22 school year.

For the 2021-22 school year, WCA will be increasing the K-8 laptop offering to each student enrolled. I am working with Connections Academy on the best way for you to request additional devices should it apply to your family. Stay tuned for more communication.

This year one of our goals as a staff was to increase positive communications to our students and their families.  Throughout the school year, WCA staff has sent many positive communications to our families whether it be via email, phone, or physical mail.

Together, we can make a difference and open the door to a world of possibilities for all of our students at Wisconsin Connections Academy.

Sincerely,
Michelle Mueller
